Proteus ground site still visible on HIP 22460 10b?

I entered the system well after the "big boom" occurred, travelled to 10b and had a look at the debris fields and entered orbit, but there was no sign of the proteus site on the surface of the planet. Others have indicated it is clearly visible from orbit but for me it's nowhere to be seen.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks,
LP

Hmm - last time I checked earlier today it was visible; it's a big green swirly thing marked as "major anomaly signal".

Are you sure you were looking at the correct thargoid surface site? One of them is normal, barely recognizable from orbit (as close as we can currenty get), the other one is very obviously the Proteus Wave site.

Hmmm ... I certainly didn't see that. Even after circling the planet many times.

One thing I didn't do was scan the planet (I was in a gunship without a surface scanner). Seems odd I would need to scan to see something that obvious. I'll head back later tonight and try an actual scan with a different ship.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I returned to HIP 22460 and when I visited 10b a second time there it was! I think perhaps the relog fixed the issue.

Happy to finally get my "Laszlo was here!" screenshot. :)

Cheers,
