PS VR not dead after all as another SIE staffer now goes public with its not dead after all. (On OTHER titles...)

They need to stick to a single Stance and stay that course. Ether tell SIEA to take a long walk of a short pier as SIEA hate PS VR and sod off or give up making these PR statements which are then cancelled months later by SIEWW or SIEA staff 3 months later with another PR statement..

It will have to be a lot better than PSVR to entice me. While PSVR is cool and has some great experiences, it's really hamstrung by low resolution and of course because it's in your face so it can be quite a pixelated display annoyingly distracting at times. To be honest I am not convinced the PS5 is powerful enough to give a generation leap in PSVR.

960x1080 per eye for the current PSVR to keep the frame rate high ended up with not brilliant picture quality imo. I think this is why I get pretty bad nausea from it. I generally used to prefer the higher fidelity picture on the TV. Games like NMS is a nice tech demo but playing it in such nice resolution on a 4K TV on PS5 and then going back to the low resolution headset is jarring.

Plus we are already finding to get 60fps out of new PS5 specific next gen games (not back compatible) it's not quite there for full 4K (2160p) so it will be interesting what reduction in fidelity will be required to make it work.

i still fear it will be a compromised experience but, hopefully I am wrong.

No longer tethered to the Playstation
4k display (hmmm.... better than console screen presentation)
Looks like the only thing stopping it would be the desire of Frontier to code / enable it.

Edit: - the authenticity of this video has been questioned. it may / may not be 100% accurate

That's fake. It will still have a cable apparently. Unfortunately.

Yep Cable required for flawless raw uncompressed video over USB C video transfer, no H264 or h265 compression required unlike PC wireless uses over A wifi 6 connection...
