Ok, My ps4 has two usb ports. I have a ds4 controler, a hotas t- flight 4, key board for texting and a set of ear plugs with microphone. How does one get three things into two ports?

The DS4 doesn't need one, only when charging. You could look to get a USB hub for the PS4.

I would invest in the Bluetooth Keyboard if it was me (hence no need for a cable). That way you only need two, one for your headset and one for your HOTAS.

Ok, a blue tooth key board will work, now to find an English one.

Will my ear buds with mic sufice or do I need one of those like a real pilot uses?

The only place to plug in a head set of any variety, is via the ds4, correct?

Why do you need a mic?

How else does one communicate with another player in open. I've seen videos where two or more cmdr's are speaking and or narating a video.

I'm on DSL, and I tend to avoid using voice comms due to the extra bandwidth it takes. You are on dialup, yes? You might want to stick with text comms (which many ED players use). Unless you've been pulling our legs about that dialup connection of yours.

duck remember we don't have (space) legs at the moment so if he is pulling anything it would be our chain, if is joking about his connection then i think a lot of us would be looking for him around the galaxy lol

Didn't know all that, thanks. Scratch the head set and mic and blue toothed keyboard. Though I did free up one usb port by plugging my ds4 into wall adapter. Not pulling any legs, my conection issues are real.

Apparently, you have a reliable connection; I play toooooooo many hours to utilize blue tooth. My ds4 is blue toothed, but I never unplug it. Though I reslly like the size of your key board.

My problem in Mexico in addition to an unreliable connection is, I can't find an "English" key board. The spanish one has a different alphabet. Though a pirate would find using the spanish double "R's" key helpful. Arrrr!

I have a turtle beach 520 headset for the PS4, which seems to work ok. It uses a USB port for a Bluetooth dongle, so you are not cabled to the console. The dongle also has an optical audio in port, where you patch the PS4 optical audio out to the dongle.

When I was playing Elite on the PC, I was using ingame voice comms on an ADSL connection, and it didn't appear to cause too many problems (I managed to instance with a player in the US).

I haven't thought too much about a keyboard, as my PC playtime was in Solo mode, and the X55 Rhino had enough keybindings that I didn't use the keyboard at all to play.

Just bought and paired my first blue toothed key board with three devices (PS4, 8" tablet and my pc). It's a logitech k480. It's cool, one keypad for three different drvices. Though it has Spanish keys, the layout or placement for English is correct. It has abilities I know nothing about. I'd post a link, but don't know how to copy paste on a tablets keyboard. Though my new one works, the available on line manual will take me sometime. The k480 is the ssme height and thickness, but considerably less wide. But weighs twice as much (metal body) and numerous extra keys. Got a good deal from the one and only Radio Shack here. Last one, new and in a box for 33% off. I pd $600.00 peso's ($30.00 U.S.).

PS4 ready, HOTAS ready, keyboard ready, pilot standing by waiting order.

This may work, check it out. http://www.logitech.com/en-us/manuals/k480-immersion-guide
