[PS4] Rank Grind Request

As per STROTIUM DOG's request, I'm reposting my request fromt he support forum here as well.

This is a very selfish request from me. There's this one ship I really would love to fly around in, the Federation Corvette. It's expensive and I'm sure outfitting will be expensive as well, but Credits are not an issue since I can do myriad of activities to earn them, which would be a lot more enjoyable with the said ship as well. Heck, I could always sell my Anaconda.
As I said, it's not about the money, it's the grind for the required rank. I've come to play Elite Dangerous to relax after the grindfest called Skyforge and some other, similar games, so spending days grinding for a rank, that only allows me to spend my Credits on a ship, but nothing else of value (it's not even related to the Powerplay...) feels like a huge chore and especially like a waste of time. Being a huge Empire fanboy doesn't help either...
I know it's not fair to those who got the rank with the hard grind and spent their time on it, I respect their dedication, but I don't have the time, nor the patience to grind ranks. It's not fun, it's not enjoyable nor relaxing and most of all, it's not what I want to do in a space exploration game (or any video game in general). It's like having another work...
I just want to chill and fly around (in a Corvette) with my friends.

Can I please, pretty please, get the rank required to buy the Federation Corvette or just be able to buy one?
Alternatively, switch my Empire rank with the Federation one to make the grind less painful. Please!

Not likely.

Rank is something you earn through epic grind and nothing else. And there is no pay to win in Elite.
Go to Sothis and CEOs and destroy your soul doing data delivery if you must, like everyone else who has a Corvette.

That's how I did it. Only took a week or so... a couple hours a day... what year is it again? [wacky]

While we are on about getting things for free, I need all the engineering upgrades but I can't be bothered with the grind, if you get your free ranks can I has engineer stuff

Asking to skip a unnecessary, boring and tedious gameplay mechanic is not pay to win. If anything, I expect to die in the Corvette a lot more than in Anaconda since I won't be able to rely on turrets and I've no mind to put up with Engineers RNG nonesense to enhance the ship's performance. The grind is not epic either...
That aside, you can view purchasing Horizons as pay to win because it allows you to use Quince planetary scan missions - which give you higher Cr income per hour with no risk involved than anything the base game has to offer (or so Google search claims, correct me if I'm wrong). I've been there myself and it's way more profitting than exploring and bounty hunting and way less risky, not to mention faster, than massacre missions. Sadly, it's a boring grind and that's no fun.

I looked up Sothis and CEOs and I'll have to travel there myself to see because some claim it doesn't work, while some claim that it does. I suspect it will be a Fed version of Wu Guinagi.

Engineer upgrades are that, upgrades. They are not necessary. It's not like you can't fly your ship without them. In my case, I literally can't buy the ship without the rank. However, the Engineer asking you materials you have to grind seems perfectly fine and reasonable to me, if anything, I have an issue with the RNG part that follows. RNG and engineering seems like the very opposites of each other to me...
In any case, even if FD would grant my request, I'm not getting the ship for free. I still have to get the money to buy it and more to outfit it. Even if it means I'll be flying around with barebones equipment, at least I'll be flying in it and that's all that matters to me.

I was going to head out to Sothis to give my rank a quick boost (seems I only had an hour to play). And by chance, I passed through Tun.
Ended up spending a small fortune on donation missions, and stacked about 12 surface missions to pay back the money I donated. Gained 10% on my rank in an hour.

My new temporary home.

I'm quite serious actually, believe it or not.

No worries. CMDR Vulcan already told me it won't happen, so knowing that, I've left some bug reports here in some little attempt at improving the game for fellow PS4 users and I'm going to quit (yes, yes, I know. You won't be missed, nobody cares and don't let the door hit you on your way, etc.).
I refuse to play games that would have me grind or deal with RNG to achieve what I want. Kindly keep that stuff on mobiles or wherever this originated from. I've had more than enough of that in past few years. This was my selfish appeal to keep the game's value to me, with it denied, the game's value is lost.

I'm sure my dear wifey will stick around if FD manages to make Horizons work for her, so it won't be a complete waste.

No wonder my thread was met with the reactions it got.
