PS4 support for Ace Combat 7 HOTAS

Frontier, please consider adding support for this HOTAS "Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown Flightstick":

The description notes:

- Separate joystick and throttle with Full HOTAS controls
- Adjustable sensitivity and haptic vibration feedback
- Integrated touch pad & headset jack
- Officially Licensed by SIEA
- Officially Licensed by BANDAI Namco entertainment

So presumably conforms to Sony's APIs, however it would be good to utilise all the additional features the Thrustmastr T-Flight does not: the touchpad, extra buttons and haptic feedback.

This may help alleviate the issues console owners are having on 3.3 with running out of inputs, as noted on both Xbox and PS4 in a number of threads.


Ideally we'd like keyboard support too, and a small element of us would buy a Warthog etc for Elite on consoles (if available), but at least providing support for licenced products would be a gesture beyond token porting. If this can be done, or is already being worked on, it'd be nice to know in case stock is limited.

Yes please confirm if it'll be compatible...we have no options when it comes to HOTAS on PS4 and it would be great to be able to use it with ED !

Never understood the desire for vibration in a HOTAS.

As far as I'm concerned, all it does is shorten lifespan.

In my case it's not why I'm interested in this model. More buttons options than the HOTAS 4 and quality looks better.

Don't know about the lifespan, I would probably put the vibration off or at minimum...if it's supported by the game.

It will be launched in less than 2 weeks, with the new Ace Combat, and can already be pre-ordered. So, can you please make it work with Elite? Given that keyboard mapping is never coming, at least making another HOTAS option available to us would be a very nice and thoughtful gesture.

Looks nice but . . . vibrating joystick? ? I had no idea that existed . . . why does it exist? :S

Just to say, I made a account just for this.

Please support it. We don't have much options on ps4 (well we only have two options to be frank). Your game is great but without proper controls it's getting tedious and frustrating. I promise if you do it I'll even buy some cosmetic as a thanks. ;)

Unfortunately it seems to not be very good for Elite. There are actual fake buttons (with no mechanical wiring behind); large deadzone; and it maps as a simulated joystick, which causes other oddities.

At this point I don't think it's worth asking for support for this specific HOTAS, i'd still like full support for something better than the T-Flight4, and give us keyboard support for controls (and not just chat).
