Recently got the Thrustmaster t-flight hotas for my PS4 and am loving it, controls are tight easy and I feel like I'm flying better. But I've come across one issue that is making me regret using it. I can not change firing groups and I have checked the control layout and everything and I can not find it. Am I missing a button combo or is this a know issue? Any advice or help would make me happy, because I would hate for a wasted investment.

Hello, if you go into the control menu and toggle past the ds4 controller bit left/right. You should then be able to access the controls for the hotas. Hope this helps.

I still haven’t worked out how to use the fss yet in all honesty. Not tonight though, i’m going hunting a thargoid cz.

Sorry not online at the moment but I believe its in the TARGETING controls section or thereabouts - its called 'Cycle next fire group' IIRC. It is in there because I have set mine to L3 on the HOTAS for myself actually - just keep looking. There are a lot of controls and finding them all is a bit tricky at first....
On another note - does anyone know how to SAVE a particular layout? - I can't see an option to save my current layout - I want to experiment in a new layout build but I for sure do not want to accidentally erase or alter my current.

It's under the control options.
I'm working right now but can look for you in a couple of hours if you still need it.
You can bind it to anything you want.
Be glad to share how I did it.
It's probably just not bound to anything yet.
There's a next fire group and a previous firegroup setting.
You only get 1 custom config on each PS4 save for the hotas per PS4 account...
If you back up a save game to USB storage you can restore the Save game later and restore the old Hotas layout
The USB device has to be formatted to Fat 32 or Exfat... So if your with out windows /MAC OS /Linux PC you need to borrow or get access to one and wipe the USB storage device...

The button remap that you have to check to cycle weapon groups Is under weapon section...
You can set it to what ever you like..
Under secondary fire and above deploy weapons...
This only works if you have set the fire groups up in the Right hand ship pannel...

You only get one HOTAS button config slot now. Default HOTAS and custom have been combined since the 3.3 release so you can’t test out an alternate config on the fly.
The Pixel Bandits have put up a good layout here.

But as the HOTAS 4 doesn’t have the b5 button I was found the I needed to combine the B and B5 mappings into a single Circle (plus hat direction, plus shoulder direction, plus stick button press, etc) set of config.
