PSA: Guardian reinforcement packages (hull, shield and module) DO work in Titan space.

Just tested in a Mamba, no issues using guardian hull and module reinforcement packages inside the Leigong Titan maelstrom. So you can have that extra caustic resistance if you can afford the power draw. (personally, my Mamba power draw margins are razor thin, and I had to do a lot of priority massaging, and deactivation of 2xcaustic sink and 1xtp neutraliser once inside the maelstrom to allow my weapons to function.)

So those AND the guardian nanite torp pylon are exceptions to the "no guardian tech" rule.

edit: tested with a full approach to Leigong, successful pulse neut (only needed one, since mamba=fast) and 2 x 5 vent bombing runs @ 2.6mil combat bonds total. Got attacked after second run, checked modules after both runs, guardian modules still online.

Odd, I used module reinforcements and when I checked later they were disabled so I no longer use the stuff there. Though it is quite possible some Thargoid hunter got me and deactivated them. So once those hit you you might lose those modules (at least in bigger ships this is quite likely).

That's an entirely good point. I never got hit by a Hunter of any kind. I may be under the mistaken assumption that guardian tech not specifically excepted just doesn't work at all at the maelstrom. (distributor, power plants) but actually needs a thargoid pulse to deactivate.

edit: jacklul, hull package DOES have integrity.

Can confirm this is NOT the case. I tested and the FSD booster I had on was immediately fried.
As for HRPs: Those are the only exceptions because they provide hull HP, so the field would kill off your hull. MRPs die to anti-guardian fields (Try aggroing a Glaive, or head into Titanspace.)
If the internals are now resistant though, that would be helpful for sure.

I can mirror that experience of the Guardian module reinforcement getting fried around a Titan - because that’s what was on my Krait which I took to Taranis when it arrived back in November [2022/3308]. They didn’t survive for very long.

Never taken any shield boosting ones in though. Only the hulls(which, as was said, shouldn’t be getting damaged by anything).

Yup, just took a Guardian module reinforcement with me as well and it got disabled shortly after I exited SC at the Titan.

So it's possible to bring Guardian Hull Reinforcements, but is it sensible?
Does caustic resistance on your hull help caustic sinks to absorb more goo before your hull even takes damage? Because if caustic resistance only works in the few moments where my sinks are not active, I'd rather save the power and run colder.
