Dear CMDRs,
after doing a bit of research, collecting all data available in the community, and checking the in game descriptions of materials known to me, here are some patterns I could deduct from that data:
#1: It is more efficient getting the rarer materials through mission rewards. Some stuff seems to be available through missions only.
#2: For data packages/materials drops, the game seems to differentiate between haulage/combat oriented/military ships. So pick the right ones
#3: In special cases, the state the controlling faction is in seems to count. Imperial, outbreak and boom are confirmed so far
More details can be found in the document (google doc link). Please don't mess with it, and please help me filling the gaps and keeping this file up to date.
This will be aligned with the team around Qohen Leth.
Happy hunting!
ps: if somebody could write a good guide on scanning settlement data points without aggroing them, please share!
