PSA: It's possible to trade away mission items at the bartender

In the trade screen, mission items will be on a separate line but are not clearly marked as mission items.

So don't just think "That's some weird new Odyssey bug" and trade them away like I did.

It's possible that you could go back to the original mission site and regenerate the item but I leave that as an experiment for someone else to try.

Yes, it feels like it doesn't consistently mark components/items/data as mission related depending on where you look in-game (trade/sell screen, ship inventory, on-foot inventory, etc.). It's the same for stolen and prohibited as well.

This was the easiest way to get power regulators for suit upgrades from the very beginning...except instead of selling them to the bar tender, you give them to the engineer.

The trouble is that I have a number of mission items from failed missions that are still marked as mission items in my inventory. As for power regulators, I've still maybe got suits to upgrade and tend to keep some in stock just in case I need them for downloads on powered down settlements

I've noticed that some of my power regulators change state when I've used them to power a settlement and reclaimed them. I might see if I can knock the mission label off some canisters by doing something similar.

Yep, in the sale screen stuff like that is clearly marked as a mission item. But if you picked up a electromagnet or memory chip as a mission salvage from a impact site mission, they are not marked on the mat trading screen at all.
