[PSA] Multi-Crew Voice coms etiquette.

Hello Cmdrs.

This is intended to give some helpful information.
When you want to join a Multi-Crew session please try the following :-

If you are going to use voice coms Ensure that you have a "push to talk" button enabled.
Using the open mic method in Elite causes massive amounts of Static noise and is generally frowned upon in cooperative play gaming.

If do not plan to use voice, disable voice coms in the options tab of the coms panel.

If you want to enable voice turn it on in the options tab in coms panel as above and then set control bindings for :-
Miscellaneous - Microphone mute (set a button) - Button mode (hold) - Mute button mode (push to talk).

This will ensure that the mic only transmits when you press the button and is not constantly transmitting.

Thanks, hope this helps.

we need an option to remove that "spacy" filter, when someone has a bad mic, your gonna have a bad time.

When you`ve learned voice comms etiquette you can actually have the comms `always on`. But yea, it`s useful to have it on `push to talk` for people who talk too much or don`t understand that their heavy breathing is annoying everyone else.

In game voice comms are as bad a joke as ingame texting. I will never use any.
I prefer a TS server, and lacking that, run my own Mumble on a NAS. Joining one of those is a prerequisite for me.

Cheers Cmdr's
