PSA: Remote workshop can’t convert legacy modules

Oh, so this "Players can modify modules/weapons at selected ports (ports with access to outfitting) outside Engineer ports" only works for non-legacy/engineered mods?

That’s pure insanity.

It’s like the worst decision they ever took.

Yes, even worse than RNGineers in the first place.

OK... guess you'll have to fly to palin to convert those dirty drives?

Remote workshop also cannot apply special effects to weapons/modules.

Also, If you didn't have any recipes pinned before the 3.0 patch, you have to visit the engineer to pin it, then you can remote access it. You can only pin one mod per engineer.

This was all known in beta.

All this seems like a reasonable trade-off. Not being able to convert legacy modules is beyond all understanding.

Edit: That’s just pure, unadulterated time wasting. Seriously FD.

I guess that update was too good to be true heh.

For new players I guess, like those special discounts for new phone plan enrollees, but not the long standing customers.

And so... we should have read the fine print users contract?

FD - Fix it!
Me customer, you business.
2.5 million copies sold, you can fix it and save many many people much tedious loading screen time.
It’s a product right, not a religion or political party?

...Not even mentioning the material traders who enjoy playing hide and seek instead of advertising their business openly.
Maybe it's just me, but I could not find any of them yet. I'm sitting on a heap of G5 mats to trade, but I'd need some G3 garbage to get to G5. I was in hope of being able to finish with at least one module, but thanks to the usual lack of in-game information here I have to be again, googling around in vain...

This is really silly.

They WANT us to convert from legacy modules, so why throw up a barrier here?

I think this needs some consideration, and I also think it may not have been designed with this intent.

I think it needs bug reporting.

The other limitations make some semblance of sense, but being unable to do the exact thing that frontier encourage us to do, using the new system which is part of doing it, seems like some kind of oversight rather than intention.
