PSA to pilots of all small craft

If you're approaching the mailslot from either side and you see a T9 coming in or leaving a station, the T9 has the right of way.

Not because of starport rules. Not because of interstellar law. No, just because you can abort your approach. The T9 can't. Also, the T9 is much more massive than you. Hitting it may knock a ring off of it's shields, but it'll put you at the rebuy screen.

Sincerely,
An annoyed T9 pilot that got rammed by a Cobra and a hauler on the same approach to a station.

Had a cobra come in the mailslot on the wrong side as I was going out in my clipper. I waited for him to come back out to teach him a lesson but after 10 minutes it was obvious he wasnt going to while I was there.

With speeds that go higher than 800m/s now, they can't either!

Perhaps the Devs should consider a holographic aid, similar to the landing aid, that would show the ship's position relative to the sides of the mail slot and which would activate when within a certain distance from the opening. Could be helpful for larger ships in particular.

Wouldn't help with ramming of course, but could help big ships leave more room in the slot and assist pilots who haven't figured out the red side/green side concept.

That's a good idea. I've only been in the t9 for a couple days, so I'm still a little unsure of exactly how much space it takes up in the mailslot. An indicator would be a great addition.

I have a pathological hatred of T9's... be they NPC or human piloted. 14 of my 23 buybacks have been due to T9's ramming me from behind in the slot...take that double entendre as you see fit.

I've since been paying them back in any way and at any opportunity, usually by nudging them gently to their doom against the inside of a station or playing chicken with the human piloted ones. If anything would tempt me to Pirating, it would be the sheer joy of seeing one of them explode spraying cargo cannisters like confetti...

It's not that they can't see an Anaconda or Cutter is in the way or anything.. they just seem to be piloted mainly by ill mannered sockpuppets

In the vid, which was recorded during the first Kaushpoos CG... I was jammed solid in the slot until the station defenses got bored and blew the both of us up...I lost the Anaconda and 320t of Palladium

Well to be fair and all. If someone launches underneath you or if you launch infront of and below some one, this happens. In my fighters i try to barrel role to see whos exiting at the same time. But with cargo ships its a little harder to do.

I wonder with the new coms chatter update if the traffic controllers will be talking about exiting traffic as well.

Would be nice to hear " Orca, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot leaving bay 15" or " Viper Whiskey Oscar Lima, you have a slot hog behind you, please hold for clearance."

Sheepishly sneaks back out after realising it was possibly me. I was power napping as I tried dock. This was post 5th fly by of Jack stn. Just wanted to land and go to bed but kept nodding off and waking up the other side of the system
