Hardware & Technical PSA: TrackIR v5 now lets you centre with a joystick press (includes controller setup)

Hiya,

maybe it was just me, but previously I had to keep hitting my keyboard to center. Since the latest TrackIR software update, I can now set it to right-click on my XO controller (used on PC).

So I've gone from hunching over my warthog to relaxing back in my chair and centering every time I move.

It. Is. AMAZING.

Also, while I'm here, if you use a controller for Elite, you might be using one of the 'Advanced Control Pad' settings.. but they still fall short of the near perfection of the XO release of ED. The XO version has a stack more button combinations that will mean you spend more time in your chair and less time looking at your keyboard (although note that in XO you hold a button and an overlay appears showing what you can combine it with, but on PC you'll need to quick-press the combination)

Here 'tis, hope it helps (does this forum have spoiler tags?);
