I've always suffered from really slow transfer speeds whilst trying to copy videos from my PS4 to a USB stick. The other night a ten minute video was going to take an hour to transfer. I decided to look into this a little and it was to do with the formatting of the stick. As long as you are happy to wipe the stick you can simply plug in a stick to the PS4, go to devices, then select your device and press the options button. It will say 'Format to exFat'. Format it and you should see much improved transfer speeds. My ten minute video took a minute, rather than the previous hour. This is quite an old stick, certainly not USB 3.
