PSA: Where to get a Diamondback Explorer or Courier, guaranteed

Due to two recent community goals, two places will be established where either of the new ships will be always in stock, and at a discount to boot. So before you go around asking, once 1.3 is released, "Where can I buy a Diamondback? I checked three stations and they didn't have one":

Diamondback Explorer: Hamilton Gateway, Wolf 406 system, 20% discount.
Imperial Courier:: Baker Terminal, Achenar system, 15% discount. (You should have the Achenar permit anyway when you have the rank required for the Courier.)

Edit: It seems the discount in Wolf 406 only applies to the Diamondback Explorer.

Thanks for the update Mephane. Didn't know about the Courier loc before this post. Is there a timeline yet for the 1.3 release?

Nice anticipation, I look forward to posting this thread on all the posts that appear after 1.3 anyway

Although for anyone with a ship bigger than a Python the Diamondback discount of ~100,000Cr (Based on expectations from beta costs) is probably not worth the time it takes to get to Wolf 406 if you aren't close.

Oh I certainly hope people will post other locations they find in here, too. I just started with the two that are a definite given.

Can we post links to all the threads asking in reverse? Im very interested to see just how many repeat threads of "where can I find DmB/Courier there will be"

I think we should always be helpful to these people in distress but gathering a list of the repeat threads just seems like a fun idea to me and could even help the Forum mod team mop a few up.

Just a guess but I'd expect the scout to be a NPC only ship like the faction fighter...

Yes. There are two Diamondbacks. The Diamondback Explorer is the ship we showed in concept art back in April, and the Diamondback Scout is a cut-down cheaper ship made by Lakon for the Federal military.

The Diamondback Scout is already playable in the 1.3 beta. They wouldn't have made it so only to turn it into an NPC-only ship.

Yep, I was 100% wrong on this, both scout and explorer are playable. (My bad guys, I saw "made for military" and assumed it was a unique

)
