PSA: Workaround for FC commodity purchase issue

Hey all,

I noted elsewhere that people were experiencing an issue with buying commodities off their FC.... the issue being that if you buy, say, 700t of steel from your FC, it doesn't appear in your cargohold.... then when you arrive at a Colonisation ship, you can't unload without relogging.

Here's a workaround for you: Buy 1t less than you need, then transfer that last tonne from your FC into your ship. Whatever the mechanical difference is, the transfer does a "hard refresh" of your cargo hold, and you'll see the contents update immediately.

So basically, buy everything you need from your FC bar 1t of whatever you need... then transfer that last tonne through the transfer interface. Clunky, but less time consuming than doing a straight transfer or relogging.

Hope that helps someone

[1] which is generally considered faster than using the Transfer function due to the lack of accelleration to transfer volumes

Once you fill your cargo hold using the commodities market screen, go back to the main screen and all you have to do is click the commodities market again and you will get the message your cargo hold is full. Works with partial loads also you just dont get any audible messages.

Yeah exactly this. You dont have to do all that OP, just go back into the market which forces a cargohold refresh, and the cargo "appears" from the last purchase.

A really good fix would be if Frontier fixed this. Any guesses why this hasn't happened after all this time? It's been this way for a very, very, very, long time.
Prior to Trailblazers and the explosion in carrier based hauling, I guess it was easier to dismiss as a minor issue. Now, though? Everyone is hauling and getting bitten by this a lot. It should have been on the list for the March 19th update and I'm genuinely baffled by the inaction on this one.
