Psycho Stations on a rampage...

So I was making Solo mode trading runs a few nights ago between Tau Ceti (Ortiz Moreno City) and somewhere else, and on my return trip, noticed the station lighting up an NPC. Good fun to watch, all those streams of kinetic rounds, so pretty. Pop goes the weasel, etc.

I got permission and docked and began the trade-menu-shuffle... and as I sat on the pad, started hearing muted "booming". This continued for some time, so finally after finishing business, I took a look around the station interior - and it was chock full of newly destroyed hulls and parts.

As I sat there on the pad watching, the station proceeded to pick off each NPC coming in for docking, filling the interior with shreds of ships. It was quite eerie... good old Ortiz must have killed about 10 ships while I watched. I checked the news feeds and it didn't seem like this was a civil war or factional dispute, but I could have missed something...

I did indeed take off and hastily exit, just to see what would happen - and nothing happened to me, I was not targeted. Whew!

Anyone see this before, in stations not undergoing a civil war or whatever? I know during Beta there were some notoriously "touchy" stations, but this one hadn't been psycho for me before, or since...

As I wrote in another thread, there is sth really buggy with NPC and station AIs.

Legendre Ring in Breksta is a pretty bad one, killed about 8 of 10 approaching NPCs last time I was docked there.
It's not the securtiy ships outside that attack, they let the NPCs pass. But as soon as they are through the letterbox, the station backside starts to blow them up.

One NPC wrote to comm something like "Aaaaargh, why is this happening again!" which was quite funny. :)

It was like a cinder snowstorm, there was so much black junk bouncing around in that can. I should have taken a picture to share, will if it happens again.
