Horizons PTSD sufferer here, so ANGRY right now....

I have just spent the past one and a half hours trying to report a bug and now I'm starting to see RED.
After filling everything in and giving the details I hit send and I'm asked to log on, so I try again, then again, each time the same despite being logged in, so that's what a dog feels like when it's chasing it's tail?
So in a last attempt I am going to post it here because I'm not going through that again.

I've been away from the game for a while due to illness (title).
Recieved an email a couple of weeks ago asking me to come back to Horizons because there was an upgrade due, 2nd part of Horizons season pass? Had a few issues updating and I wasn't alone apparently looking in the forums, but got there in the end, jumped into the game to find that nothing major has happened since Engineers <-lol, Jump animation has changed and some system menu addons but they just seem to be improvements on what was already there, so where is the content guys?
This game needs some MEAT on it's bones and we're coming up to the end of season soon.

Anyway on playing the first couple of times in SOLO since updating I was getting this random bug, out of the blue a dialog box pops up saying 'Could not connect to match making server' so I press ok and I'm booted back to the game start menu, lost my exloratory scans from the systems I'd been exploring, ok no biggie I'd not long started the game so onwards and upwards, except for last night, Couldn't sleep (title) so I spent the whole night working my way towards Maia, good way to distract what was going on in my head, a detailed scan on every system on route, after racking up a good few systems exploring I'm one jump away from Maia and I'm thinking... "I'll scan this last system, jump to Maia dock, save, then try and get some sleep." Wallop! 'Cannot connect to match making server' I knew what was coming, clicked ok booted back to main menu, lost all those scans and wasted hours of my life, the worst part? I was playing in SOLO mode, so why the hell would a match making sever bug affect my solo game play? [downcast]

I take it you don't follow the Canonn threads?

BTW, your data is saved on jumping to next system so while you might have lost the data for the system you're in, all the other stuff you've will still be there.

My friend thanks for that, I'm pretty sure that fact would've hit me when I came to selling my data but good to know, gave me a lift that reply so have a rep!
I haven't been following the forums for a good few months so have a lot of catching up to do and boy there's a lot to catch up with.
Any particular place to start in those threads? A link perhaps? Just did a search there's a lot of threads concerning the Canonn. I thought you meant a forum member lmfao!

Is there a way to check what exploration data you have without docking and going into cartography?

Suffer from the same illness and find playing ED helps me to keep focus.....most times. There have been times when jumping to another system I lose contact with the ED servers so the game goes back to the main menu. It takes a lot of control to not throw the controller across the room, although many expletives often get yelled. Never even thought to check if I'd lost any exploration data. I play on the XBox One......I know, I know......the pc version is heaps better....blah...blah...blah.....lol.

Hi Docalicious007 really sorry to read you suffer with it too Yup it's a lot easier to pick up an xbox to chuck than a PC and mine weighs a ton lol, know that urge to let rip but I challenge myself not to, I hope you do too.
Gonna jump back in and have a look see, if not I'm gonna do my last jump to Maia I'll find out then but what nath said makes sense Dog tired right now so it's difficult to concentrate lol, never had an issue with consoles each to their own preference it really doesn't matter, so long as you can get ya game head on! Take it easy BTW, have a rep for survival, I'm sure you know what I mean

The new content in this 2.2 patch are ship launched fighters and passengers missions (and all that comes with them). Not to mention Quality of Life upgrades, like ship transfer or module storage. So there is new content. Oh, there is also fungal life, geysers etc. on planets.

Did I mention ALIEN RUINS?

Thanks rootsrat [up] Got masses of catching up to do, still worried about that bug though, it breaks the flow, but as nath said, if the games last system status is saved during a jump I can cope with that till it's sorted. Oh and of course Aliens, what would this game be without? Got it in the back of my mind one day I may come across the USCSS Nostromo heh heh heh.
I vagely remember so long ago in the original Elite, evacuating as many people as possible from a system whose Sun was about to go supanova, would love to see such emergencies in ED.

No worries mate. There were a few cases in the last couple of weeks where the servers acted funny, so that's the likely reason for the disconnections you were getting.

Some days I miss the old Commodore 64 and playing Elite back in the Eighties where all I had to worry about were the Thargoids getting me during a jump to another star system. Is it true they're coming back? The crashed ship kind of looks like one of the old Thargoid ships, except it's not black and white and stuff.....lol.

I've been using You Tube a lot to get pointers, primarily Vindicator Jones and Cmdr Plater. Worth watching, although still struggling to keep up with all the information on the forums re updates and stuff. I've only been playing for about 4 weeks and struggling so much only to find out from the videos and the forums (which I only just found about a week ago) there is so much in the game I just wasn't aware of.

And yes, some days are better than others, thank God for medication and a very patient partner who has stopped me from ripping the heads off people when she takes me down the road.

I had this mission in the original,got paid 100 gems if i remember correctly,hope the game can alleviate some of your troubles walker.nice to have you back mate.

Your sounding more optimistic Walker in this post compared to the thread starter,glad we can cheer you up even if only slightly go carefully in the black mate and in RL. Right on Commander.
