That would turn the whole pub area into yet an other Doom/Quake/Halo/BF… arena making the whole pub concept completely useless. If I want that gameplay I play a dedicated game from developers who know how to develop such a game.

Well if it's a good arena I'll play it.

I've been asking for more things to do on stations, like a station chat room/bar, since beta. Personally I think it's things like this, stuff that adds more life and atmosphere to the galaxy, that should have been added before we ever went down the Engineers route.
