pulse vs beam in an eagle

Hi Guys,

Not sure if its my imagination but my basic eagle fixed pulse lasers seem to be as good as my gimballed 75k a piece beam laser.

I guess the eagle is very easy to aim... so I been looking around for some really good pulse fixed laser around the eravate system and can not find any. any ideas?

But is that right ? is fixed pulse better if you are on target?

Best weapons for an eagle (thinking of getting rid of gimbal beams and get fixed pulseto go with my mulit cannon?)

I find the starter pulse weapons on the bottom and a gimballed MC on the top to be the most effective in the Eagle. Haven't found anything better than the cheap 2200 credits lasers though.

You should be able to find a fixed beam. That should be better for the eagle. Gimbled weapons are weaker than their fixed size equivalents.

Don't give up on the Eagle, I honestly think it's amazing. I fully upgraded mine with mil spec armor, A grade parts and fixed weapons and I was able to permanently zero enemies. It's an absolutely fantastic little craft.

Head to the Yakabugai System and dock at Serebrov Station, has just about all the small hard point weapons you could want as well as modules galore. As for your loadout, with my Eagle, I went with 2 gimballed burst lasers on the belly(good shield damage and reliable hull/module damage) and a top mounted rocket pod(the dumbfire missles for high hull damage and lulz). The multi-cannon is a good choice too if you want to roll with that. Also, if you have the top rated power plant and power distributor, you can mount a beam laser of any kind on the top and it will never overheat with full pips to weapons.

As for the fixed vs gimballed, its a matter of preference. in close to medium range, gimballed will hit more reliably than fixed which in turn will lead to more damage, but can lose lock if your target uses chaff or silent running mode. Fixed has the market though when it comes to range and does more damage shot for shot against gimballed and turreted. I went with gimballed because I could consistently hit modules while dancing around a target. Honestly though, if you are good with keeping your target centered then you can go with fixed weapons if you prefer.
