I had a thought today that it would be possible to implement a role for a used ship salesman.
Since we sell ships at a 90% value I could purchase someones ship for say 93% of the value and sell it on at 96% making 3.33% profit for everyone involved (seller, middleman, buyer).
Obviously incredibly difficult to implement and would require massive Dev work to even put mechanics in to make it work, also vulnerable to cheating/exploiting depending on how it's implemented but I like the idea of someone asking around in chat and getting a word of mouth recommendation for a CMDR based out of a outpost a few jumps away.
Haggling obviously the primary gameplay element, if I can buy a ship for 92% of value instead of 93% or sell for 97% instead of 96% then I gain an extra % profit. Selling larger ships is harder since many people are Elite and have founders world discount but selling smaller ships gives less profit.
Food for thought but I am aware how incredibly complex this idea is.
