Put rescue frigates a few KM from burning stations rather than x.xx LS away

I think its daft that buring stations rescue frigate sits so far off that it needs to be supercruised to, surely it would make more sense to have the rescue frigate a few kilometers away rather than even a small fraction of a light second away? This would add to the drama of having these two assets in one place at one time for this momentous "event" AND create more visible background traffic as you'd see the other ships both CMDR and NPC shuttling back and forth.

Me, I'd like attacked stations to be in the middle of an AX CZ.
 
Throwing the RP hat on for a moment... but well... it's a burning station with what I can only assume is fairly major and unstable damage. Who knows what a station's reactor detonating could cause... I'd presume major damage within at least a few hundred kilometers (in space)

You don't treat a casualty smack bang next to the thing which created the casualty, you extract the casualty to a safe staging area.
 
The Rescue stuff is still one of my favourite parts of the game, so any additions to this gets my vote.

Bring back salvage missions! (With G5 rewards).

Also, something Old Duck mentioned a long time ago, I'd like a 'dust off' option on Rescue ships.
Land, offload, lift off. No hangar spinny business, wasting valuable time...lives are at stake!

I still think scouts should at least be present in basically all areas of an infested system.
The megaship and station should come under light attack by them, outpost's and surface ports should have some floating about. Our ports defences should deal with them mostly, but they'd still be a danger to look out for, and add a bit of urgency to the situation.
And they're not difficult to deal with in low numbers, and can be damaged with all weapons.

Even USSs should have scouts randomly pop up out of curiosity, if anything.
All in system scenarios should be AX versions, which start out as a regular scenario, but have a chance for interceptors and scouts to jump in and interrupt them, causing a change in objectives.

And so on.
