Newcomer / Intro Pve Piracy

Hello, I've been playing npc pirate for a few weeks now.

I've become competent in the whole process of killing drives, stopping the ship and looting it.

I don't know how to make money. All the guide I've seen about LTDs seems to be outdated. I.E. When I try to attack mining ships in agricultural anarchy, I get junk commodities (leather, etc).
When I try in industrial, I can't find mining ship at all.

Can we still make money using piracy nowadays ? If so, then How ?

The days of LTDs being the highest value item you could get for next to nothing have been gone a while. Platinum seems to be what people mine for credits nowadays.

I am sure you can make money with piracy but I don’t believe it is going to produce huge profits, probably only a few 100% over the cost of the trip assuming no ship losses or serious fines/bounties.

try the refinery, extraction
industrial should actually be good too, but every system and every station is different.
that is where the higher value stuff hangs out, mostly.
there is no real money in regular piracy, not compared to most anything else.
but money isn't everything.
but you will get rare things, things not sold and hard to find.

yeah I enjoy it a lot, and I love those trinket of hidden fortune, trade data (boom !), military plans, rebel transmissions, etc. But with the FC valued at 5bn I need an activity that will eventually get me there and piracy doesn't seem like it could which is sad
