Jesus! I wish we had a way to minus rep from people.
Way to go mate, for making a newcomer feel decidedly uncomfortable about using the newcomers forums to ask simple questions. And you did it in one easy go.
If you don't want to help him and others like him, then here's a couple of ideas:

1. Don't read the bloody newcomers posts in the first place.
2. I f you do read them and don't wish to help then go make yourself a big hot mug of 'Shut The Heck Up' and enjoy it at your leisure. Take all the time in the world - please.
