PvP PvP escort service

After a session of bounty hunting in mehet last night, we decide to head back to station at the same time for the purpose of mutual protection.

However the logistics of putting that into practice prove to be easier said then done. As we approach Redi market in sc, one of my wing mates gets interdicted. The wing notification of this occurrence is nice, but now I don't know what to do except target the low wake of my friend and hope that drops me into the instance of the attack. I never find out since the griefers take him out in less than 20 seconds. Maybe I did something wrong, nevertheless I let my friend down and feel horrible about it. ☹️

Is the a better way to conduct pvp protection?

you need put navlock on your wingmate and! best, stay behind him and watch speed

if you do right you drop aside your wingmate at interdiction

Have been in your position many times, OP. Worse thing in the world!

Navlock will drop you in with your friend like Raino said. You'll see brackets appear around your chosen wingmate at the top of your screen. Red brackets mean you're not in range. Blue means you are.

It's worth practicing the interdiction game. You can keep it going and give your wingmates time to get in position before submitting. You can also lose on purpose to give your enemy's FSD a cooldown too. That's really only worth doing if you're confident you can defeat them.

Alternatively, have the biggest and baddest pilot in your wing jump ahead of everyone else and scout it out. They can be a tempting target or even preemptively pull them (gankers are an excitable bunch). Watch out though - a wing of four can bring a ton of firepower to bear and if you're in a big ship FSD reboot missiles will be a problem for sure. Don't get ganked yourself!

Finally, don't forget about emergency drop. As you saw, it can be slow going to drop on someone's low wake. This usually gives enough time for your FSD to reboot and get out of dodge.

If wing mate died in 20 sec, then that means.... your wingmate was just a fodder. This also means, even if your wing would drop in time, that would means no diffrence at all. You all would just die. :)

Thanks for the tips. Practicing the interdiction is a great idea to get our timing down.

No fodder here. I've dealt with these griefers many times and I am confident my ship is engineered to last awhile against their tactics and even take them out under certain conditions (depends on their ship config).

While this offer is kind and generous for sure, any ganker worth their salt can deal with four Corvettes.

Just cautioning anyone to work on their skills for sure because the safest hands are always your own.
