PvP fight, my clipper vs FDL (Video)

Cool fight, enjoyed the video (was interdicted myself while watching it ). Mind if you defend patreus territory? 'Cause I am sitting here all day long underming it hehe.

good fight and good vid. looks like your main advantage was with the turning circle of that clipper, especially with the fa off/ on switches. you were on him much more than he was on you.

shields are soooo rubbish on a clipper though aren't they ?! i bought a clipper the other night, fitted it out a class and im struggling getting used to its flimsyness. you did well keeping those shields up.

It was a good fight. I think you are using Beams on your FDL though? You would have done better with 4x Pulse, more time on target especially will 4 pips to weapons.

Yeah the shields are a bit flimsy but i think I'm doing a decent job of staying out of the line of fire

And lol I've done a few patrols of Denton Patreus territory but I rarely find anyone hostile invading so tend to stick to the offensive front

It was a good fight. I think you are using Beams on your FDL though? You would have done better with 4x Pulse, more time on target especially will 4 pips to weapons.

I'm not entirely sure about that. Taking into account the possible time on target... look at the distance between me and lonewarrior when I'm firing. The first two passes I was able to eat roughly 1 ring per capacitor charge even with him having 4 in sys. Later in the fight I made the mistake starting to fire from sometimes 2+ km away. The damage drop due to the distance killed my damage, not the beams itself. They're working fine if you know how to use them
Especially the FDL is made for shorter, hard hitting bursts rather than steady DPS due to its lacking SCBs. You need to overcome your targes SCB powered shield regeneration. If I try to eat all my targets SCBs I would be forced to run most of the time because I won't be able to tank long enough.

Yeah I had it set to off at one point but kept forgetting and sometimes would get confused if I accidently pressed it

And I agree, beams are a nightmare for clippers, if it had been all pulses I don't think the damage would have been able to do nearly as much
