PvP is fun as hell! Split screen duel

Good day CMDR's

I've been having a blast getting into the pvp scene. Taking a ship you have engineered to your playstyle and testing it out against other people really is fun. Credits are so easy to come by in the game it's really no biggie getting destroyed (believe me I get destroyed alot) The majority of my friends list is now made up of people I have dueled with and if your polite and gracious in win or defeat they are more than happy to give you advice. Don't get me wrong you need to be carefull in Open play at CG's etc but after a bit of experience it's really not that scary.

Anyways I have made a vid showing both POV's so check it out if you like that sort of thing - https://youtu.be/t8TapgY6_Xs

Thanks and good day CMDR's

You miss the point. I don't play in Solo because I find Open scary, I just don't like space combat and I'm an introvert, among other things, and don't play with anyone, anywhere.

However, it is good to know that you enjoyed it.

Good day, cheers, and never mind the naysayers!! Any time a PvPer defends PvP, there'll be some guy to say bad things about it.

I completely understand, I play Arma3 [First person military sim] in what you could call solo mode because I just enjoy playing around in the sandbox editor. I only said scary because that is what it was to me.

pvp when challenged and prepared is fun.

pvp when jumped by 4-8 players using cheese builds when you are pve outfitted and are not aligned in power play or supporting community goal, or wanted anywhere and given no warning other than them pming about how you fly after you go bewm isnt.

^ Very much this. Plus I would add that much of the PvP I see vids of is jousting rather than dogfighting.....and I don't find that at all interesting as far as PvP combat is concerned. I like level playing field PvP, like CQC (shame I can never get a match), not assymmetric PvP.

Yeah very true, I fly paranoid though so I always fly around with a half decent enough ship to get me out of trouble. I try and make anything not combat orientated as fast as possible with enough shield to last long enough for the FSD cool down. Doesn't always work but I've escaped more then I have been griefed.

That 90's Kid is an awesome dude.

He has helped me out a lot! I watched his streams to see how things worked and went from there.

I'm in no position to dish out much advice but I like to use a lot of lateral and vertical thrust so even when I'm flying directly at my opponent I'm at least making them work a little harder to track me. Your right about a level playing field but a little time with the engineers and you can make a decent ship. My combat ship has been engineered to at least G5 modules but most of my RNG rolls are not that great but it makes me competitive.

I can't be dealing with people that can't speak

Basic grammar f f s

I bought this game just to get a clipper, cos I had one in Elite 2

I think it's natural role is as a pirate ship
It makes a fantastic passenger ship, medium (engineered) jump range, fast in a straight line
Good mining ship
Good combat ship, but you need gimbals or turrets for the nacelle weapons
Good trade ship

Very manouverable for a ship of it's size

Basically you can do anything with it, brilliant multi role ship, the python can fax off, Clipper does it better

Drawbacks: can only land on large pads and weak sheilds, but the speed means if you want to get out of trouble, you can

I also went to Sag A in it

The only ship I own that I'd never sell
