Dear commanders,

I am currently 50:50 about allowing or banning Synthesis from the 1vs1 league. So I need some figures and create poll here.

Question is.

Allowing Synthesis? 1) YES or 2) NO or 3) I don't care.

Keep in mind, that if we ban Synthesis the video prove will be a must, no match without video footage is valid !!

Poll will be finished in 1 week.

Thanks,
Oogie Boogie

Oogie mate its a pretty bias sounding poll why didn't you just do 1) Yes 2) No 3) Indifferent.

Not everyone has Horizons and thats where I stand on the matter.

Hello Oogie,

Even i'm not participating in the PvP league, i'm following it with a lot of interest.

On my side i find the Synthesis to be too grindy, it require Horizons and it's an open door to "unlimited" ammo builds, which ruin the PvP idea imho.

Big respect for what you have created !!!

The 3rd option "I dont care" was created for those who really don't care, but as well for those who are not active in the PvP business and like to do some polls ;-)
Polls are never perfect, but I would like to see some figures behind before I do decide.

And thanks Heckler Throb!

Thanks for your participations.

Hi Oogie. This is a tough one to decide upon and even police with video evidence. Keep in mind someone could reload their ammo before the video starts with an increased bonus synthesis (+15% or 30), they could have been flying around with this for a long time beforehand, of course once this ammo is used up then yes you could police it with the respective video evidence but they've already started with an advantage.

I'm pretty sure there is no indication unless I'm being blind (entirely possible) so until Frontier implement some sort of hud change on the ammo counter, a change in colour for instance to indicate a bonus[ed] synthesis ammo loadout, something that I think Frontier could/should perhaps incorporate in an update in future, it would incidentally be quite useful to know if your ammo refill you synthesised from a previous day etc is still valid and loaded anyway, sometimes I forget and restock/reload regardless (not sure if this resets the bonus ammo with regular projectiles or not, I doubt it remembers the ammo count of synthesised bullets so to speak so probably replaces the whole lot, but I don't know).

Anyway.. going off topic there a little but there are a few reasons as others have suggested too, not everyone has Horizons anyway but if this expansion was to be a requirement to do this PvP League of yours perhaps synthesis can be outlawed other than the first ammo refill (and with video evidence from that point on in addition).

Video evidence is a must, if we decide to ban Synthesis. And when the match starts both players need to show on record the modules with their weapons. There you see if your weapons are upgraded with premium Synthesis or not. If they are you see a blue arrow behind the weapon. The video must be in full length, so you detect the reload during a fight.

This is the cleanest way to deal with any kind of accusations and will work. But the price is that not all players are able to record their fights.

Ar right do you? A blue arrow ay, I thought it possible I was missing something, normally when I'm synthesising I'm deep in combat and clearly haven't been looking at the necessary (and I haven't actually done synth that much unless I'm desperate and probably deep in the doodoo), so do you mean in the modules tab?. Regardless I'll check it out next time I do it... cool, I've learnt something there :)

And yes, you're right, not everyone has the facility to record/capture anyway, but still I think it would be tough to police. Even without video evidence you can't be sure no one is playing by the "gentleman's agreement" so you might just have to say anything goes.

Spherical things to the wall is the way to go in pvp. You'll get less matches if video is required. Let the players use the games features to see who is the best Imo.

Some people will certainly not pay 34 bucks for a community PvP event. But it gives 30% damage boost. There is a barrier and this will also result in less players taking part in the tourney or an inaccurate selection of "who is the best".

Voted "no" but nothing to do with grinding, it's just better from my point of view if you know everyone is fighting on the same terms. So everyone knows before they start that they have the ammo they start with and that's it.
