PVP Mamba

Does anyone have one that is effective for PVP, playing to the mamba's strengths?

My current build(meant for PVE):

Any feedback on my current build would also be great. Thanks!

Middle and small ships with chaffs in combat zones seem to be annoying for you, don't they?

The Mamba's strengths are 3...

1) High overall speed
2) Strong lat and vert thrusters (acceleration in any direction basically)
3) High initial shield values

2+3 are just cream, the thing you need to make use of in combat is its speed. Speed is everything in dogfighting. Bearing that in mind, you have a choice of directions...you can either go long range reverski (don't be that guy, please, don't be that guy), with a long range beam, some small railguns, and maybe a couple of seekers or packs, or you can go midrange route, try to maintain about 2km orbit around your opponent, and use midrange weapons, Focused PAs, short range Multicannons, Cannons, or you can go my preferred route, which is high speed jousting with high burst damage, using a mix of efficient/SR PAs and/or frags.

I'm afraid I'm not sharing my Mamba build, which is unusual for me cos I like showing off my theorycrafting as well as helping others, but the truth is it's a particularly difficult ship to theorycraft, everything has to be 'exactly' what it is, or it won't work, so I doubt many people could, or would want to go to such trouble, to execute my build anyway. Most mambas are built as well as flown badly, and I'd like to keep my advantage for a bit longer. I know that sounds bad, but it is what it is. :) I think you should be ok with the three usage cases above and develop your build from there.

This is part of the outfitting dilemma...the power plant is the real problem. You can't run hot weapons, big shields AND cells, and still fit all that into an Armored PP (you should not be using any other PP mod in PvP unless you have absolutely NO choice). So if you want cells you have a few compromises to make either on the boosters (a few D or E rated ones, not my preferred way to go), or go overcharged PP and deal with everything that comes with that (heat issues as well as an easy snipe). My build is all shield and hull, lots of A rated boosters, no cells. The compromise of this is a little speed. But not much. ;)
