pvp simulator

It's a huge world, it's a wild world BUT something is needed as all mmo, openworld or any game online, a PVP mode.
As a simulator (using from a access acess terminal) we could play pvp with proposed ships prequiped with some war modes.
As a balanced team fight exemple :
5 vs 5
each team
1 python (commander)
4 eagles
objectives : destroy enemy python (in an asteroid virtual map)

Many modes could be created as 10 vs 10 (vs 10*)
defend / attack auto ia Majestic class vs Ferragut (vs alliance capital ship*)

Shoot a container with hard hull in a center area map where players will meet each others.

Why simulator ?
To turn these pvp modes as a game in game out of the world so any destruction doesn't cost anything just get (pay) your ticket grab a ship and let's fight.

But need rewards to make players play this kind of mode.

Thing that could be interresting is to bet credits for these kind of matches (pvp or ia) and try to be rich for gambler spectators (watching battles with fixed cam spots in the virtual battle area - into a limited area ?).

Remember that pvp actions must be equipement balanced because all will be played at skills and cooperation.

I can see some value in making PVP training scenarios but as it's aside from the main game (development and cost of servers etc.) suggest that these could be / should be "pay per play".

Part of the point of the way elite as a game works is that ships gain perceived value from the time / effort spent in attaining them, it's why you tend to be careful with them. However, I can see value in setting up a range of a few environments (asteroid belt, low atmosphere come planet landings) with a list of open sessions, max number of players in each, join or start your own, and with a funding structure (25c per hour or something) to cover FD costs and subsidise main game development.

If you want to bet on fights then I'd prefer to see that entered in the main game, game credits on game ships and where each gladiator has something worth losing. If all ships are available to all, sure it's a balanced test of some skill but that doesn't, for me, necessarily make for an interesting wager. FD might also find problems in "gaming license," as in Las Vegas, if real world money was involved.

Open up PVP sessions though, and I suppose people can do what they like. It might take the pressure cooker effect off main game open play, if people want to play an arcade version.

Yes PVP Simulator is absolutely needed, I had this idea, too.

Balancing weapons, eqiupment and so on would be better possible in this scenario as a sideeffect

The facts are :
What to do between missions/trade/bounty routes jumps ?
What to buy with 25.000.000.000 credits when all is acquired ?
I've played weeks or months on frontier elite but what else after explored targhoids station ?

Online game turn to competition and surely many players will go for it and now we've got the POWERPLAY incoming !

Just the idea to insert diversified choice of activities and not only hearing the only voice "Frame Shift Drive Charging©"
