Having watched Harry Potter attempting to play PvP in open and failing miserably I have come to the conclusion that there is no PvP in open. Only griefing. CQC is the only PvP there is for elite dangerous players.
However, there can be PvP between two wings. I think there should be a special kind of PvP wing beacon that accepts eight players only and forms an instance with only those eight players and no one else can enter that instance. Then you can have PvP team matches in open (or on a private server).
So it works like this: one person invites eight people to the pvp group and those players will always share instances...but no one else can. Could be extended to squadrons allowing two squadrons to more or less declare war on each other to add some spice to the game.
Everything else in open is pure griefing.
One more thing: more and more players will be getting their internet using 4G or 5G. And that means DHCP is enforced on them. Which means you get kicked with an IP Address changed error message. I think it's high time your programmers learnt how to handle IP address changes when connecting using 4G or 5G (Don't you?)
