PVP

Hi Guys,
Returning player asking a question about PVP in elite dangerous, a few of us played it quite a bit a few years ago having come from 10 years of EVE online. The challenge we found was the lack of viable pvp content, in that most people would either play in solo or party games not in open world.

Has this changed or has FD done anything to change the dial on this (like having one big server but with loads off different zones or something like EVE - safeguarding pve but also enabling pvp)?

Any insight would be useful- love this game after doing the PVE grind just couldn't get the opportunities to use the ships!

Go to CG / engineer locations, or Shinrarta Dezhra. You'll find lots of unorganised PvP.
By FDEV's own statement, open is the most popular mode, but still most players don't really PvP.
I read it so that usage of open mode lies somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the playerbase.

Open is the busiest I've ever seen it, there's no specific PVP content though.

If you like ganking, then Elite in open is right game for you. Otherwise, well PVP is pretty dead. Not many pvp bounty hunters, pirates and so on.
