As of right now, there is`nt much PvP in the game. Other than nav beacons and anarchies, your choices are:
1. Check Galnet news for players with high bounties on their heads. If you decide to go after them then you may need to buy yourself a wake-scanner, so you can chase em across systems when and if you find em. For sure, you will need a frame shift interdiction module, to take them out of super-cruise when you catch them.
2. While you roam systems you will ocassionaly come across players with bounties in the low thousands. These guys are usually up for a bit of PvP.
3. Go to a conflict warzone, choose a faction whose side you want to fight on, via the right hud menu, under “faction”. The only warzones I personally know of, right now; are in Sarbago, since that is where there is a civil war going on at the moment. If you take part in a conflict zone, you will be up against NPCs for the most part, but you will find players there fighting for one or the other side too, which means a spot of PvP. Be careful of how many there are, and which faction they are fighting for. You don’t want to end up outnumbered. There are also rep worries, if you have any. There is also a capital ship in Sarbargo right now. I think there is a trade blockade in Kappa. The thinking behind the addition of trade blockades was that traders could hire other merc`s, bounty hunters to help them run the blockade, with other profession influencing the outcome. Don’t know if that’s possible right now, or how well its actually working in practice etc, with social tools being the way they are, until early next year.
The problem with option 3, is that you`ll probably have to cross great distances to get there. This is a major pain in the ass! Also, you need money to rebuy your ship if you get killed. So don’t go in unless you can afford the insurance.
Don’t enter into player fights unless you can hold your own well, against NPC`s.
On your radar, other players are hollow icons.
