I know there have been different tables posted in the past, listing the shields strengths for the ships with various shield generators, to which FD themselves eventually replied that they were wrong. So no I am in the situation that would choose, both for financial and weight reasons, between either a D6 or an A5 shield generator on the Python, and possibly the same for the thrusters (previously I had always been using D6 for both).
Obviously A5 is more expensive, so it is only really an interesting option if they indeed are stronger respectively faster+more agile than D6.
Surely there must be someone who has tried both and can talk from experience?
