Ships Python Armed Trader

Hello,
as we all see, there are a couple of ways for the armed trader.
The question is, do i want max. profit out of my trading, then i don't fly a Python or at least a cargo maxed out one, 'cause no one can interdict me, if i don't want it.
Or i like the fights and use them to increase my rank, then i have to find a compromise out of cargo, agility, protection and firepower.

Who and how often are they trying to raid me?
Like i wrote, i'm just 'Expert (17%)' and there are 'Master' as a minimum, but more than 50% are 'Deadly' and even some 'Elite' come to the party.
I have pretty often 4 pirates in a row. Thats one of the reasons i use a 6c shield. Together with the chaffs it has a good protection and it recharches fast while i collect material. And sometimes there is no time for that - the next one tries.
I suppose the opponents won't be weaker when i get up with my rank.
The TO has the same rank afaik
So now is a good opportunity to practice some basics - like FA off, unlock target, targeting modules etc.

ps. written on my Tab,which does things i don't know how to avoid. Bold in the first part for example :-(

Nice one. On Python build, what's the main use of the Corrosion Rack as you only installed one? Have not been doing the Thargoids stuff but starting to look at this and would love to learn.
Visting Thargoid sites some cargo will cause corrosion to the hull. I use a Krait Mk II for visiting Guardian and Thargoid sites. As for the Python I just happen to have a rack in storage so put it in just in case. Not really needed unless I visit in a Python which also works.

Mine is set up as smuggler. For a pure trader I'd probably go armored plant instead of low emissions and a size 3 prismatic.

Some love them, some hate them. I think they're one the best defense weapons you can put on a non-combat ship. They pack a punch second only to frags, without the spread, but also without engineering options. And they pay with jitter if you try to spam them. Short bursts is what they're best for, inbetween flybys, inbetween chaff periods. And they run hot. For a while I had two medium and two large on my Cutter, it almost couldn't handle the heat. And I'd say they're strictly PvE.
