Horizons Python Bulkhead Upgrades? (Out of Stock at All Usual Sources!)

Just as the subject says.... I headed out today to upgrade my Python's Bulkheads to something a big tougher. I started at my home station (Solo Orbiter in Altair) which has always stocked this item from day one. When you select your existing bulkhead, below the current bulkhead are the words "OUT OF STOCK". When you click on it, nothing shows up to purchase.

I thought that was strange since Solo always had these. So I got onto the ED Trade Database and looked up several other nearby systems that are listed to sell bulkhead upgrades. Same thing at all of them! OUT OF STOCK!

I have just checked the 10th station listed on the ED Database in this sector and once again... OUT OF STOCK!

What the hell is going on?

Anyone else having issues with modules not being available at stations that have always sold them? I really need to beef up the hull on my A rated Python because of all the AI interdictions going on, but it looks like for the moment I am SOL! :(

Wondering if I should file a bug report. ??

Diaguandri is one of the best spots for upgrades, 15% discount and stocks most ships (except the Cutter/IEagle) Stations only sell bulkheads for ships they offer in the shipyard. Seem strange that Solo Orbiter is out of stock if it still has the Python for sale.

Edit - Solo Orbiter has never sold Pythons, that means no bulkheads for that ship will be available.

Don't know where you got the notion that if a station doesn't sell a particular ship, then they won't sell parts for it. That simply is not true. I've outfitted plenty of ships over the last 18 months to know that Outfitting stock is not tied to the Shipyard inventory.

I also purchased Python bulkhead upgrades at Solo before on the Xbox One version. It is also listed on all the third party ED sites related to Outfitting as stocking these parts.

Well aware of Diaguandri, (17 weeks in-game playtime) but it is too far away from my location to be a viable option. Besides, I seriously doubt it currently has stock in this item either. Not after checking 10 stations that have always sold these parts in the past.

Bug report time, obviously.

Please actually read what I am typing - I said in order to buy Bulkheads for a particular ship, the station has to also sell that ship. it has been like that since release.

Solo Orbiter sells the ships listed below - Bulkheads will be available for those ships. You have to find somewhere that sells the Python in order to upgrade it's bulkheads. I've already given you a station - Diaguandri with a 15% discount. Closest shipyard to Altair is Bhritzameno (Feynman Terminal) about 5LY away, you'll pay full price. Please don't waste tech supports time with unnecessary bug reports.

Feynman Terminal was one of the 10 stations I checked. It was one of the first ones on the list from the ED Trade Database.

Only going to bother with the first few in your list, using the same database, please show me where the Python bulkheads are listed for Solo Orbiter. I'm surprised you are not aware of large stations not selling bulkheads for ships not in stock. You can search the forums for countless topics on the subject.

Bulkheads upgrades - repeat bulkheads - have always been available only at stations that sell yhe ship you are trying to get mil grade, mirror, etx upgrades for.

GG7 makes it sound like 777driver told him some outlandish tip top secret thing when really, the funny thing is this is just one of ED-things you learn. Been like this for as long as played the game.

AFAIK there are Stations that sell Ships but actually (too poor Economy?) don't have any or not all Bulkheads in stock.

Fairly rare sight, but I've been surprised by it more than once (i.e. only sells Reinforced Bulkheads but not Military/Mirrored/Reactive).

Me thinks the new, far bigger impact of Faction States on their Economy also affects Outfitting more than before.
(i.e. my very own Home Station - Extraction Economy - always used to have a bunch of certain stuff - now that they entered a Boom state we got surprised by all Mining Lasers and other stuff going unexpectedly AWOL, while other High-Grade gear appeared instead)

With the increased dynamics affecting Outfitting, many of the otherwise very useful 3rd Party Resources have to be taken with a grain of salt when it comes to specific Equipment. It just may or may not be there, depending on its controlling Faction State.
But arguably, a large-population, wealthy Station seems unlikely to lose some or even all Bulkheads (Disclaimer : Expansion or especially a "Bad State" might very well do that now, though... Haven't specifically checked for that).

im going insane looking for an upgrade bulkhead in my krait mk ii,3 days not in stock,thankfully I left my cutter at the station I bought it,they dam well better sell bulkheads,i rember at time I had an option ,but thought get upgrade later, out of stock every dam place ive been

Shame you didn't read the thread before necroing something from 4 years ago. The answer is in the thread already - only where that ship is sold in the station's shipyard will you find bulkheads for it. :rolleyes:
