Python internals question

Easy.

6A shield generator
6B shield cell bank
6B shield cell bank
5B shield cell bank
5B shield cell bank
4B shield cell bank
3B shield cell bank
3B shield cell bank
2B shield cell bank

Yup. Would work. Not sure how Heat Management with 3 Beams would turn out - any experience?

Depends how you fight. I fight Anacondas mostly and they almost all use turreted or gimbaled weapons so enough chaff out means you can afford to put 4 pips in weapons. I actually had a missile pod in the centre of the three C3 slots. With the current problem NPC point defence has with DF missiles even C2 missiles can do a lot of damage.

Has anyone got a fighting python internals build I can look at please.

This is mine:

Only 1 of the shield cells is powered at any given time etc. Been experimenting between the 7B and 6A power distributors (with lighter sensors and power), and different types of shield cells (apart from you just don't need them!). The heavier configuration seems better so far. I swap in a 5B frame shift drive if I need to go somewhere far.

When I first bought it I could only afford the 7D distributor. Not recommended at all. I wanted to see the Python before the nerf landed. I didn't think they would leave it until 1.1.

The sensors are slightly worse than a Clipper's 4A option and the boost speed is 350, so no upgrade really for res/nav hunting. It is a lot nicer for taking on Elites, but probably won't be so much after the shield nerf.

If you are thinking about getting a python before hitting 65M, a trading configuration Python with a 5B drive only costs about 1M more than the default purchase price as you can sell the 7E power supply and distributors for cheaper smaller modules. And the shield. And 5D thrusters feel no different than 6D ones until over 200t cargo.
