Python launch bug?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone else is having the same bug when they launch in a Python. When I hit launch and go up to the surface in the lift, the python docking graphic is not showing on the HUD, I just see the normal radar screen (which is actually quite handy). The big orange python graphic doesn't appear until immediately after actually lifting off. All my other ships have the ship graphic on launch.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes, I see the same with python, not with other ships. It is as you say quite handy. The "docking radar" isn't useful at all at take-off, it can be harmful actually since you can't see if ships are approaching from behind.

same for me... I assumed this was an update from FD, not just the Python. The PgUp/PgDn buttons do nothing though, so I have to wait before I can adjust the scope range.

If you ask me, we should be able to set the zoom range as well as the power distribution between shields/engine/systems while docked (as it would be part of any pre-flight checklist). There should be a toggle for regular sensor suit or landing sensors so we can flip back and forth if needed, ESPECIALLY right before takeoff for safety reasons. We all KNOW how some Cmdr's and some NPC's love to barrel forward without regard for what is right in front of them on the way out of the mail slot :/

P.S. I always feel paranoid lifting off from landing pads right below the slot, since there is no way to get a good look back (or even THROUGH the slot) before you get in harms way.
