python supercruise mobility

Please can we get a teeny tiny bit more pitch speed for the Python in supercruise. Currently if you overshoot the turning circle is like stopping an oil tanker. It shouldn't have the turning capacity of a large ship. In normal flight, things are manageable, but having such a poor turn rate in SC is, well, just annoying really.

slow down and the turn will be quicker. pilot problem! not a ship problem. I use a python and I think its a fine ship. tighter the turn your ship will slow faster.

I disagree. If I had slowed down already, this would not be an issue. The point I'm making is that the Python's turning ability sucks compared to other ships that are designated in the same class, at the same speed. It's irrelevant to say that I could slow down and turn faster.

And so it should, imho. The Python is one of the largest of the medium ships (surely has the most cargo capacity). It looks and feels like a large ship (unlike the Asps) and I think that's exactly where it should be.

It's turning circle is fine, not a problem, it is what it is and what the devs decided they wanted it to be. As others have said, at 3/4 throttle is handles fine.

You're all entitled to hold your (wrong) opinions that the circle is fine. This thread is about my belief that it is not fine. If you want your own thread of feedback where you think it's fine, please make one, rather than polluting mine. Thanks.

Python just got nerfed too hard.
Wait till you try turning a Conda in supercruise

Absolutely. This is a local thread, for local people. We'll have no trouble here.

Local thread, local problem it seems.
This thread is hilarious.

The python is one of the most if not the most well rounded ships in the game. I do not mind it having a weakness in supercruise mobility, of all things.

What I would more like to see is better heat managment. Damn thing can barely fire 2 beams for more than 30 seconds without overheating.

And my Eagle should have the same cargo capacity as a T9.
Seconded!
I don't understand why my t9 doesn't handle like a eagle. And why my eagle doesn't have the cargo capacity of a t9
While being heavily armed, well shielded and good jump range....

Now if there was only a medium sized ship that was quite good at everything...

Medium sized ship good at everything? Sounds like an Asp Explorer.
It can't be a Python, because Pythons are rubbish in combat.

As I understand, the python has a top deck full of guns and rolls quickly. It's got decent durability and favorable geometry. It's not at good at combat as the clipper, it's not as good of a jumper as the asp, it's got its strengths over the anaconda for trading. It's not at all a lie to say it's among the more well rounded ships in the game.
Just read the sentence you created.

Uhmmm.... it is a pretty large ship.
I know it is not in the Anaconda category, but still.

I think it's pitch is fine as is. The Python is in my top 3 of favourite ships. Never noticed anything wrong with it's pitch in SC.
Just improve your super cruise skills and don't overshoot :).
Every ship has it's own characteristics and that is what makes the ED ships so cool.

The ship is what it is. Asking for these kind of buffs is rather pointless and counterproductive in the long run I think.
Some players want more pitch, some want better yaw, others want more speed or more power et. etc.
And in the end every ship will slowly but surely start to resemble every other ship as far as handling is concerned.
