Python, to sell or not to sell...

I've never once touched a freighter, Sasani. All I have are combat ships and multi-role ships.

I've been tempted a few times to get a T-9, then sanity reasserts itself and I say no. :D

My 3rd favourite trade route (top 2 involve outposts or smuggling) is between two ports <100ls from the exit point. You get >2000cr per round trip per tonne. I can get probably at least 8 round trips done in an hour. If you have 400T of cargo, that's over 6 million per hour. Seems like you'll make up that 10% on the hull for selling the Python pretty damn fast :).

That's exactly what it is so fun to fly!!!! You feel its size. I have not flown the anaconda yet, but will one day! Until then, I will own my Type-9 and grow my fleet of ships, as I found a place I would like to hang my hat for 1.3 :)

You can also feel the size of the Anaconda, actually at first I almost crashed it a couple of times during docking/undocking due to not being able to ascertain the dimensions/deceleration rates, coming from a Python. :I got much better now, thank God. : )))))))

What I really loathe about the T9, besides the fact it moves like a dead whale piloted by a lobotomized monkey on a still sea, is the jump range. It adds at least one extra jump to each decent trade route I have, so I end up making more money/hour flying the Anaconda, even with "only" 400t of cargo in it.

The T9 is also a pirate magnet, and I don't like being interdicted very much. : )

Ok so I have about 190mil in assets. My only ship is a Python, currently trade fitted.

I'm thinking I could be earning way more credits in an Anaconda.

I can either grind out another 25mil to be able to get a basic trade fit Anaconda and keep the hull of the Python after stripping out the modules.

Or I can sell up now and make the jump comfortably.

I can imagine I'd buy back my python later as a fully decked out PVE combat and mission running ship - especially for powerplay.

What do you guys think? would I really make loads more space bucks in an Anaconda - due to factors such as slower speed & not having access to platforms etc... and if so would I make up the 10% loss from selling my python more quickly in an Anaconda rather than grinding out 25 mil in my python?

If you are close to being able to buy an Anaconda (and will have enough to fit, pay insurance a few times and have money for cargo) then you might as well grind that out rather than sell your Python.

If being close to being able to afford the Anaconda includes selling your python then you might as well do that as your earning potential in the Anaconda will be greater.

I quit ED after i got annie. I mean have you seen those prices? I was like nope nope nope and quit. Yeah buying annie can make you quit game because of high prices. It have Korean MMO grindfest written all over it.
In Elite 3 annie cost was only around 4M! Inflation is a suka.

You quit after being surprised that the most expensive ship in the game (with the one of the two biggest earning potentials/hr) was expensive to fit, rather than downgrade to a ship you can afford to run?

Why are you still on the forum complaining if you quit?
