Q about cannons

I don't think so. Could it be that your line of fire is obscured? When I use gimballed weapons, say on the underside of a Cobra, and I pitch down relative to the target the aim indicators lose track, it may be related.

No, its the two hardpoints front middle of the Cobra, every time I line up the lead indicator (which is targetting the powerplant) and it gets near the main reticle it disappears. Changed role now, just curious if I should ticket it

The targeting reticule for low velocity rounds has to take into account the relative motion of both ships. If you're flying backwards and your enemy is flying away from you, your cannon shots will never hit. The reticule knows this and won't display any targeting lock for shots it knows it will miss. I had to get used to this when I tried medium cannons on something as manoeuvrable as the Viper. You have to be careful what way you're drifting and at what speed if you expect your guns to be able to aim properly. I also find it necessary to switch gunsight mode from leading to trailing if the projectile weapons are mounted on the underside of the ship.

I....W-wha......Excus.....

Really?

Wow.

Yeah no, thats not the case and its extremely obvious why.

More so when The reticule disappears on a stationary target when you yourself are also stationary
