Q: i9 9900K optimized | optimized for 8 cores?

Dear Frontier,

will Planet Zoo be optimized for the i9 9900K, an 8 core processor?

For the piece by piece system and a lot of visitors and animals, you could prevent the lag in the lategame this way.

Edit
In short: does Planet Zoo support directX 12?

You're a smart one, aren't you? Please go back to your cave.

Most games are not yet optimized for 8 core processors. Often not all 16 threads are used optimally. If you would optimize the games better on 8 core CPU's, you could gain enormous performance gains.
So I ask this question.

Every game is as optimized as it can be.

And yeah, I consider myself smart, that's how I was able to answer the question. :ROFLMAO:

But apparantly we don't share the same humor. Sorry if you felt insulted.

But like said, they wouldn't release the game if it wasn't optimized for all CPU's that are involved.

Isn't the actual question you are trying ask: Does it support DX12?

Truthfully, this is a valid question. Planet Coaster ran into a similar issue. While the game was optimized for multi-core support, that generation of the cobra engine ran on DirectX11 which has a single core limitation on some functionality which resulted in issues with PC.

Yes indeed, so the question was not entirely correctly formulated. Because the way you describe it is perfectly clear. And that is what I asked about (with a little joke).

If the question was: Will it support DX12 and multi-thread support?
I would instantly understand what was meant.

Still, I didn't encounter that much issues with Planco.

Sorry, I didn't want to upset anyone, I'm probably not in a very good mood today.

When I download a big park from the workshop at planet coaster, the performance goes down. I would like to know if frontier learned from this and adjusted the planet zoo engine to support multicore cpu's in a better way.

Forget it. It was a bad joke as well.
I wasn't upset. Just to let you know.

I also hope DX12 will be supported, but I doubt it.

It's also terribly hot here in the Netherlands at the moment. Makes my brain melt.

DX12 with DXR Global Illumination and Reflections?

But yes if the game can equally distribute the workload to all threads that would be sweet. I also have the i9 9900K and most of the time ingames some cores are taking a total snooze.
