Q: Two 1080ti split between VR and monitor?

I know sli/crossfire doesn't really work in Elite Dangerous, but what if I ran the VR on it's own card? Could the other GPU let me keep my three monitor setup?

Slightly off topic,and no help to you: I had SLI & triple monitor in ED since 2014 ,till last week,and worked just fine. I guess you mean SLI in VR only.

Well, I was running it at 7680 x 1440 with two display ports and one HDMI and the Odyssey wouldn't be recognized. I tried several ways but ended up realizing anytime I had something in the display port, the other HDMI port wouldn't be usable. So I'm down to two monitors, one through the other HDMI port and one through a Dell USB docking station. VR works great, but for those times when I just wanted to have head tracking and not have the VR rig on my head and face. So my thought would be one card for the VR and one for the 7680 X 1440 setup.

It might melt my CPU. lol
