QoL do not make cargospace a requirement if only the reward would be cargo

I just now came across a massacre mission again that would have engineering commodities as reward. I can't take it, because I'm in a pure combat ship with no cargo racks. So I have to store something, buy a cargo rack, then accept the mission. Afterwards I refit the module I stored away for this, happily do the mission, and the reward simply gets ignored when I turn it in. Please make it so that we can take such missions with no cargospace. A warning that the reward gets lost is fine, but why this module swapping ?
