I am on my second exploration trip (ever, and I haven´t come very far because I am so slow scanning most of the bodies but who cares).
First I noticed that a DSS scan of non-landable bodies will reveal the planet-type in the lower left like "Icy rock".
Landable planets will show nothing but the body name (iirc).
That´s a bit inconsistant.
I don´t like that I have to switch to the system map so often for basic information after every DSS.
Seems that unlike other explorers who do DSSs I don´t fly too close to most of the bodies because of the gravity brake ... so I don´t see the body type every time without switching to the sysmap
How about a 10 second HUD info after a DSS with the most important (to be discussed, depends on progress of the game) body data like:
... whatever the explorer community wishes and thinks is best

- body type
- landability (obviously)
- gravity (quick decision for landing)
- vulcanism (am I going to investigate?)
- radius
... whatever the explorer community wishes and thinks is best
