QoL Request: Pioneer store and bar at engineer bases

I would like to upgrade and trade at the engineer base. Seeing as we cannot view blueprints without being at the base, it would be better if we didn't need to jump between locations so much to plan our next upgrades.

That is all. Thanks.

Edit: I'm aware this is likely never to happen because it would require a dramatic remodelling of the engineer concourse. This doesn't change what I'd like so even just an option at terminals would be nice.

Really this should go in Suggestions.

I completely agree - I visit engineers in an Apex as I know I'll need to shuttle back to swap mats at the nearby station, especially as the requirements are so complex Inara seems to have given up trying to get them right.

I'd like to put it in suggestions. I'm unsure how much exposure that forum has right now though. First dev post was on second page and that was to a thread that wasn't a suggestion.

They never post in Suggestions. It ends as well as when they post in the main forums. i.e. badly. They do say they look at them 🤷‍♀️

As you say, I doubt we'll get reworked engineer bases while the rest of the game is on fire, but if we don't then the demands will only grow as people get to the point of wanting to use them ...

+1 for proper use of the term QoL. Folks commonly mistake that for any change that makes THEIR preferences more prominent; such as massive sweeping changes to loot distribution or other major design shifts.

Alternatively allow reviewing blueprints from the Engineers window in the right hand menu. There could be a button to send you into a blueprint menu where you can go through all the blueprints of a certain engineer and see exactly what they want for it and how much you got and nicely colour coded to show if you have enough or not at a glance.

Not alternatively, just "as well" :D

I've requested this get moved to suggestions by reporting my OP.

You mean they would have to convert it from a sterile waiting room into something interesting?

I certainly did not give up, the only possible known discrepancies on Inara are for Headshot damage mods of two weapon manufacturers. Actually, I think the headshot damage, accuracy and range mods may not be correct in the game and may be using some pre-release values, as their requirements are much more complex than the rest of the mods. So, I am just waiting if this will be rectified with the upcoming patches or I will need to catch up with the remaining two headshot damage mods requirements. :)

Ah, I thought maybe you were resting until the last engineer is found :) Pretty sure I found some non-headshot issues, but there are so many combinations of weapon & materials I may well be wrong. Great job to get as much as you have done (y)

While they're at it, they could add mat traders to the space engineer sites too.

From the view of internal consistency, seems odd that a mat trader wouldn't set up shop at the exact place they're pretty much guaranteed business.
