Maybe it's just me... And for sure, it's not always a problem depending on the ship and configuration you use, and your playstyle.
But I feel it would be easier to manage two different sets of fire groups for analysis and combat modes.
It would avoid having to skip 2 or 3 pages dedicated to limpet and scanning, when all you want is fire some chaffs and beam lasers.
Or having to skip 4 or 5 pages dedicated to gun configurations and defense, just to be able to honk the system.
And somehow, I feel it would give more substance to the difference between analysis mode and combat.
In the fire group pages, there could be a column on the left, with one icon for analysis and one for combat, and depending on which one is highlighted, you'd only see the pages related to those (well, tabs... ). And it could even have the luxury of displaying only the devices relevant to that mode (ie no railgun in analysis pages), making these lists much more readable without having to scroll down in some cases.
Take care
