Could we please have a virtual keyboard that can be used when prompted for text or using the IM features, etc? Using a real keyboard with a VR headset isn't friendly at all. Thanks.

I take it you are not a touch typist. You can also look into Voice attack. Another idea they could do is enhanced Voice Commands or Voice attack for people who have a hard time feeling their keyboard.
This would be nice, but i do not see it happening. My flight controls sit in front of my keyboard, and it makes it a pain to type. (In VR i do not even bother trying as taking off the headset just to type a quick message is too much of a pain/risk of being attacked while the head set is off.)
