Quarter Billion in Credits.. What to do next.

If you only have a "quarter" billion, well then, you forfeit the privilege to use the term "billion". Meanwhile, we actual billionaires can rest easy that paupers can't fly ships above their station. :)
I'll invoke the law of linguistic propriety and call on that assertion. If you only have a quarter tank of gas, you don't forfeit the privilege to use the term "tank of gas", now do you? You Elite elitist. :p

Yeah, but a quarter billion is just a rounding error...
No, tripping over the third base bag while heading for home is a rounding error.

Bounty hunt those going after stranded pilots or fuel rats?
I don't fancy Spanish rat. Although, my grandfather partook of several during the siege of Cartagena, and never suffered any ill effects. (+rep all day for whoever gets that obscure movie reference)

What he said. If you round a quarter billion, you get 0 billion. If I told Trump "I'm rich! I have a quarter billion!", he'd say "You'll be rich when you don't need to include a fraction to describe your fortune." Last time I heard someone boasting that included a fraction, it was my son when he said, "I'm not 3. I'm 3 and a half". It goes without saying that it was cute when my son said that. It is less cute when he says it now, "But I'm not 26, I'm 26 and a half". :)

I'll take Pirates ;-)

Well if your dream is Haz Res site mining - then I think you Condor plan sounds the best! Sounds like a laugh for a while, you can probably sell the T-9 as well (300-350 tons self escorting verses 420+ on T-9).

Slightly down from you - my Python is trade/mission (except smuggling have Cobra for that). Really not going to risk 150Mcr of ship in a Combat zone - that is the job of the cheaper 90Mcr FAS. Asp Explorer for mining (still learning the ropes), and Asp Scout when I need to get away from it all. So if yo do go Anaconda remember the risk/reward changes and have something cheap for when pew-pew simply has to be done! I will own an Anaconda one day, at the moment need to use lots of outposts so Python is king.

Good luck with your plans.

Decisions, decisions. Been kicking the idea around in my head for about two weeks now. I've got basically two options. Right now my dedicated bounty hunter is an A-Rated Python, I also have an A-Rated Gunship for CZ's with wingmates, MineClipper, Asp Explorer, A-Rated Cobra Mission grinder, Type 9 for bulk trading and a dedicated Asp Explorer. And a Courier for giggles. I figure I may go in one of two directions. First, I may convert the Python into my dedicated miner and mothball the clipper, then get a Fer de Lance as my dedicated bounty hunter. Been thinking of trying a FdL for a while actually, but I just could never pull the trigger on that deal. Since both ships seemed to have their pros and cons I figured they more or less balanced out. Now that the FdL has resolved its power issues, I figure it may have the edge in combat and maybe its time to give one a try.
.
Option two is to keep with what I have, and the creds I have should be enough to oufit a mostly D-Rated MineConda (with an A rated FSD), and again mothball the Clipper and keep hunting in the Python (I been mining a lot lately) I have nothing against the Python, I rather like it actually, but I'm getting that itch again to just change things up a bit. Like when I bought that A-Rated Sidewinder to putz around in. What would you do?

You actually have three options - this was mine

There is a LOT of fear about this option about how you "lose" all your ratings and experience and how people cant "let go"
.
.
Ive had more fun in the last week buzzing around in a sidewinder (now cobra) and SRV being happy to collect 55CR Bauxite canisters than I had making multi thousands if not millions an hour over the last 3 months.
.
.
Vey important to remember that we are so small and insignificant in the game (and it works so well) that is as much fun in a loaned sidewinder as it is in a fully armed Anaconda in fact Id argue even more so at time

Yup, I have a second account for exactly this, the early game doesn't half get the blood rushing.
Only problem is, with the easy credits available in 1.5/2.0 it doesn't take long to make it into those larger ships.
