Quck DK2 question

Greetings:

I bought ED just yesterday and am floored by the intensity of the tutorial, but when i try to login and play the full game, the oculus rift is not a 3d option (only "side-by-side" and "anaglyph" are available. It works perfectly in the tutorial, but not full game.

Is this by design in this current phase of release? If so, i will patiently await...but if not, can someone point me to a thread that explains how to best set up the full game (i cannont seem to find one)

You need the 4.4 runtime of the oculus to make it work. I believe the combat missions pack uses an older version of the game engine that only required the 4.3 runtime.

Make sure your runtime is up to date and you should have no problem selecting the rift as a display in the options.

Spot on !...that is exactly what i needed...

so, how would you suggest proceeding? ... i jumped into a free open game but didn't seem to see anyone there...

i'll spend a few days RTFM'ing to learn things like rapid travel, etc...

Right now, it's hard to find other players. Chances go up a lot if you friend them. I've found a good group in the Mercs of Mikunn. Send friend requests to people on the list. Get Team Speak. A whole different game with coop play.

I just had to pop back in and tell you thanks again for the info. I have learned a TON of stuff over the past few days. There is little doubt that this is the best OR game i have played and will keep playing for quite some time.
